When keys keep getting copied or lost, entry by code or fob is cleaner. You can remove one person's access without touching anyone else's and you stop re-cutting keys.
Keypad or fob
A keypad is simple and has no cards to lose, which suits a small office or a studio with a few people. A fob or card reader is better for a building with many users, because each fob can be cancelled alone. We usually ask how many people use the door and how often they change before suggesting one.
What goes into the door
A reader needs a controller, a power supply and something to actually unlock the door, such as an electric strike or a magnetic lock. We choose the parts to match the door and frame, wire them, set the hold-open and relock times and enroll the first fobs. The door also gets a manual override so a power loss never traps anyone.
Fixing systems that stopped working
Many of our access jobs are repairs on a system someone else installed. A dead reader, a controller that lost its settings or a strike that sticks can usually be fixed without starting over. We tell you plainly when a replacement is cheaper.

Common questions
Can I change a code when an employee leaves?
Yes, on most keypad systems. On a fob system you cancel that person's fob and no one else's.
What happens during a power outage?
The door keeps a manual key override, and we set the lock mode so that safe exit is always possible.
Can access control work on a glass or aluminum door?
Yes, with the right strike or lock for that frame. We check the door before choosing parts.
